Why a Dutch-style 20" is the right upgrade
Your child has outgrown their 12" or 16". But they're not ready for mountain biking. They want comfort, practicality, and style. That's where the Dutch Style 20" lives. The 20-inch wheel is the perfect proportion - large enough to handle longer distances and varied terrain, small enough to maintain complete control. The upright geometry means they sit naturally, see everything, and enjoy the ride rather than strain through it.
Dutch-style bikes aren't designed for speed. They're designed for living. Your child pedals to school, carries snacks and treasures in the wicker basket, stops at the park, meets friends. The bike disappears. What matters is where they're going.
Comfort without compromise.
The brown PU leather saddle is designed for longer rides without pain. The Dutch 'oma' handlebar feels natural in the hands. The adjustable seat and handlebar grow with your child - you'll get years of use from this bike. Single-speed simplicity keeps focus on balance and rhythm. The wicker basket is genuinely useful. Kids love it.
The coaster brake (rear) combined with a hand brake (front) gives your child control options. You can choose the brake style that matches their comfort level and riding style. Both work beautifully on Dubai's mostly flat terrain.
Built to be ridden daily
This is a steel and alloy bike engineered for real use. The cream-colored tires roll smoothly. The reflector and bell are built in. The steel kickstand keeps the bike stable when parked. Available in four matte finishes that age beautifully. Your child will genuinely want to ride this bike, not just use it as transport.
Questions? We get them.
What age is the Dutch Style 20" for??
We recommend it for ages 6-9 and children between 115-140cm. If your child has outgrown a 16" or is ready for a bigger, more comfortable bike, the 20" is perfect. Come test ride at our Al Quoz shop if you're unsure about fit.
What's the difference between the 20" and 24" Dutch Style?
The 20" is engineered for younger kids (6-9 years, 115-140cm). Smaller, easier to control, perfect for growing into longer rides. The 24" Dutch Style is for older kids (9-14 years) and taller riders (140-160cm). Same comfort philosophy, larger wheel for efficiency. Choose based on your child's height and where they're riding.
Should I choose hand brake or coaster brake?
Both are excellent. Hand brakes teach control and modulation - your child learns to brake smoothly. Coaster brakes are simpler mechanically. Many parents choose based on their child's comfort. Come test ride to see what feels right for your child.
Is this bike good for school commutes?
Absolutely. The upright position keeps your child visible in traffic. The wicker basket holds a small bag or lunch. The reflector and bell are built-in safety features. Many families use the 20" for daily school rides.
Can I add accessories?
Yes. The 20" works with our full range of bicycle accessories. You can add lights, extra baskets, bells, or protective reflectors. Make it genuinely personal to your child's needs and style.
How long will my child ride the 20"?
Most kids ride the 20" from ages 6-10, sometimes longer depending on growth rate. The adjustable seat and handlebar help extend the lifespan. When they're taller (around 145cm) or want more capability, the 24" Dutch Style is the natural next step.
What's included?
The Dutch Style 20" arrives fully assembled and ready to ride. It includes the wicker basket, bell, reflector, and kickstand. The brakes are installed and adjusted. Just inflate the tires and adjust the seat to your child's height.
