Have you ever heard of a country that has more bicycles than inhabitants? In the Netherlands this is the case. With almost 23 million bicycles, the 18 million inhabitants are outnumbered. It’s not uncommon to hear Dutch people say that they could cycle before they could walk ;-)


So, when Florien moved to Dubai, she was sure to pack her Dutch style bicycle. When she started cycling in her neighbourhood, people approached her with questions about the bike and she noticed the increasing interest in bicycles. This growing curiosity sparked the idea to bring the Dutch cycling lifestyle to the UAE.


In 2020, two Dutchies teamed up and started Adam Bike with the ambition to bring high-quality Dutch design bicycles to the UAE. The name “Adam” came naturally, it’s short for Amsterdam, one of the world’s most iconic cycling cities and the place where the founders lived before moving to Dubai. It’s also a popular name in the region and, conveniently, begins with the first letter of the alphabet, placing us at the top of reseller listings.


Adam Bike is a no-nonsense family brand that aims to inspire people to have a healthy, active and fun lifestyle. In 2025, Florien continued the journey on her own, expanding both the (electric) collection and the brand, while keeping the same passion and personal touch at the heart of Adam Bike.


All bikes are designed, tried and tested by us to ensure top-notch quality. With their stylish urban colours and sturdy design, we provide a safe vehicle for the whole family. We deliver your bike to your doorstep, assemble it and provide the service you need throughout the year.
